Your Information and Privacy

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NeuroLifts collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile application and related services.

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. Who We Are

NeuroLifts is operated by DATA PROVIDENTIA LIMITED, referred to in this policy as “NeuroLifts”, “we”, “us” or “our”.

For data-protection purposes, DATA PROVIDENTIA LIMITED is responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies when you use the NeuroLifts mobile application, visit the NeuroLifts website, create or manage an account, contact us, or otherwise interact with our services.

It does not apply to websites, applications or services operated independently by third parties.

3. Information We May Collect

The information we process depends on how you use NeuroLifts and which features are available or enabled.

Account information

When you register, we may collect your email address, account identifier, authentication information and account status.

Passwords should be stored in a secured or hashed format by our authentication provider. We do not need to see your plain-text password.

Activity and progress information

We may store information about your use of NeuroLifts, including brain-training scores, game progress, completed activities, streaks, meditation activity, preferences, saved content and Daily Wisdom interactions.

Technical and device information

We may process information such as your device type, operating system, app version, IP address, language, timestamps, identifiers, diagnostic information, crash reports and error logs.

Usage and analytics information

We may collect information about how users move through NeuroLifts, such as pages or screens viewed, features used, buttons selected and session activity.

This information helps us understand whether features work correctly and how the service may be improved.

Support communications

If you contact us, we may collect your email address, message, attachments and any technical or account information you choose to provide.

Microphone and audio access

Certain app features may request permission to access your device microphone. NeuroLifts will only access the microphone after you grant permission.

NeuroLifts does not store or upload microphone recordings unless a feature clearly informs you that recording or uploading will take place.

Device permissions can be changed through your device settings.

Website information

When you visit our website, we may process ordinary technical logs and information collected through cookies or similar technologies where these are enabled.

4. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

NeuroLifts is designed as a general wellbeing, mindfulness and cognitive-activity service.

We do not intentionally request:

  • Medical records or formal medical diagnoses
  • Payment-card information where no paid service is offered
  • Precise location information unless a future feature clearly requests it
  • Access to contacts, photographs or files unless required for a clearly explained optional feature
  • Public posts, comments or social-media content from users

Please do not send sensitive medical or personal information through general support emails unless it is necessary for us to help you.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Create, authenticate and maintain your NeuroLifts account
  • Provide brain-training games, meditations, Daily Wisdom, articles, sound-based content and other app features
  • Save your preferences, progress and completed activities
  • Respond to support enquiries and account requests
  • Diagnose errors, prevent abuse and protect the security of NeuroLifts
  • Measure app performance and understand how features are used
  • Develop, test and improve our website, app and content
  • Enforce our terms, protect legal rights and comply with legal requirements

6. Our Legal Bases for Processing

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract

We process information where it is necessary to create and manage your account or provide the NeuroLifts service you request.

Legitimate interests

We may process information where necessary to maintain, secure and improve NeuroLifts, understand service usage, prevent misuse and respond to enquiries.

We consider the effect on your privacy before relying on legitimate interests.

Consent

We rely on consent where required, including for optional device permissions, optional marketing communications or non-essential cookies.

You may withdraw consent at any time, although this does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Legal obligations

We may process information where necessary to comply with applicable law, regulatory requirements or valid legal requests.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We may share limited information with organisations that help us operate NeuroLifts, including:

  • Cloud-hosting and database service providers
  • Authentication and account-management providers
  • Email delivery and customer-support providers
  • App analytics, crash-reporting and error-monitoring providers
  • Website hosting, security and content-delivery providers
  • Professional advisers such as legal or accounting advisers where necessary

These providers may only process information for the services they provide to us and are expected to protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, prevent fraud, protect users or defend our legal rights.

If ownership of NeuroLifts or its business assets changes, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable legal protections.

8. Advertising and Tracking

NeuroLifts does not use personal information for third-party behavioural advertising and does not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers.

We do not track users across applications and websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes.

If these practices change, we will update this policy, make any necessary app-store privacy disclosures and request permission where required.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Retention periods depend on factors including:

  • How long your NeuroLifts account remains active
  • Whether the information is needed to provide a requested feature
  • The time needed to investigate an error, security event or complaint
  • Applicable legal, accounting or regulatory requirements
  • Whether information remains temporarily in secured backup systems before being overwritten

When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or securely dispose of it.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your NeuroLifts account and associated personal information.

Where an account-deletion option is available inside the app, you can use that option to begin the deletion process. You may also contact us from the email address associated with your account.

Following a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with your account unless we must retain particular information for legal, security or fraud-prevention reasons.

Information may remain temporarily in secured backups until those backups are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.

These measures may include encrypted network connections, access controls, authentication protections, system monitoring and restricted administrative access.

No internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login details and should not share your password with others.

12. International Data Transfers

Some providers that support NeuroLifts may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom or the country where you live.

Where required, we use recognised safeguards intended to protect international transfers, such as adequacy regulations, approved contractual protections or another lawful transfer mechanism.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • Ask whether we process your personal information
  • Request a copy of personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Request restriction of particular processing
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Request portable information in applicable circumstances
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Complain to an appropriate data-protection authority

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a privacy request.

14. Complaints

Please contact us first if you have concerns about how NeuroLifts uses your personal information. We will try to investigate and respond appropriately.

If you are in the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Visit the Information Commissioner’s Office

15. Children’s Privacy

NeuroLifts is not designed specifically to collect personal information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, please contact us. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, which may include deleting the information and account.

16. Third-Party Services and Links

NeuroLifts may link to websites, app stores or services operated by third parties.

Those third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing their privacy information before providing them with personal data.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices or legal obligations change.
